Als 2002 die Zeile \u00abWhy’d you have to go and make things so complicated?!\u00bb global in den Radios lief, horchte die Welt auf. Avril Lavigne, damals noch eine Teenagerin, schlug ein wie eine Bombe. Der Song landete sofort auf Platz 1 zahlreicher Hitparaden der Welt und machte die 18-j\u00e4hrige praktisch \u00fcber Nacht weltber\u00fchmt.<\/p>\n

Die Single ging einher mit ihrem Deb\u00fctalbum \u00abLet Go\u00bb, das die Charts ebenfalls weltweit st\u00fcrmte und den Startpunkt einer durchaus spektakul\u00e4ren Karriere setzte. Zun\u00e4chst liess sie etwa im Zwei- bis Dreijahrestakt weitere Alben folgen. Sie alle verkauften sich hervorragend und schafften es auch in der Schweiz regelm\u00e4ssig in die Top 5. Dazu kam mehr als ein halbes Dutzend Top-20-Hits in der ganzen Welt.\u00a0 Mit Songs wie \u00abMy Happy Ending\u00bb, \u00abSk8r Boi\u00bb oder \u00abGirlfriend\u00bb kreierte sie ein Image als Prinzessin des Pop- oder Skater-Punks und wurde mit ihrem dunklen Lidschatten und ihrem Skater-Look zum Aush\u00e4ngeschild einer ganzen Subkultur.<\/p>\n

2013 kam dann ihr selbstbenanntes f\u00fcnftes Album heraus, das sich bis heute eine halbe Million Mal verkauft hat, aber auch eine vor\u00fcbergehende musikalische Pause einleitete. In jener Zeit erkrankte sie an einer Borreliose wegen eines Zeckenbisses und gab auch die Trennung von ihrem Mann Chad Kroeger von Nickelback bekannt.\u00a0 Doch die R\u00fcckschl\u00e4ge hielten die Singer-Songwriterin nicht langfristig auf. 2017 machte sie sich wieder ans Schreiben und ver\u00f6ffentlichte schliesslich Anfang dieses Jahrs ihr sechstes Studioalbum, \u00abHead Above Water\u00bb, das es wiederum in zehn L\u00e4ndern in die Top-Ten schaffte.<\/p>\n

Mit den neuen Songs und ihren \u00e4lteren Knallern kommt die Kanadierin am 23. M\u00e4rz ins Z\u00fcrcher Volkshaus. Das ist durchaus spektakul\u00e4r: In Z\u00fcrich stand die S\u00e4ngerin erst ein einziges Mal auf der B\u00fchne und das auf ihrer allerersten Europatour 2003. Und in der Schweiz war sie generell seit zw\u00f6lf Jahren nicht mehr. Es wird also Zeit, dass ihre hiesigen Fans endlich wieder mitgr\u00f6len k\u00f6nnen: \u00abWhy’d you have to go and make things so complicated?!\u00bb<\/span><\/div>\n
