Die Musikwelt hielt den Atem an, als sie das h\u00f6rte. Santanas \u00abSupernatural\u00bb von 1999 war bahnbrechend und wegweisend zugleich. Er vermengte seinen eng mit der Woodstock-Generation verbundenen LatinRock mit R’n’B- und Pop-Elementen aus der urbanen Musik. 20 Jahre ist das her. Und Woodstock selber, wo der \u00dcbergitarrist eine legend\u00e4re Performance hinlegte, j\u00e4hrt sich 2019 gar zum 50. Mal. Mit seinen H\u00f6hepunkten aus \u00fcber 50 Jahren auf der B\u00fchne kommt er n\u00e4chstes Jahr am 15. M\u00e4rz 2020 f\u00fcr eine Show ins Z\u00fcrcher Hallenstadion.<\/span><\/div>\n

Carlos Santana und seine Band sind in ihrer Wirkungszeit unz\u00e4hlige Male ausgezeichnet worden. Legend\u00e4r ist etwa die Grammyflut f\u00fcr \u00abSupernatural\u00bb – neun St\u00fcck gab es auf einen Schlag, dazu noch drei Latin-Grammys. Er erhielt 1996 auch den Billboard Century Award und wurde 1998 in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen.\u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n

Sein Gitarrenspiel hat zahllose Musiker beeinflusst. Das Rolling Stone Magazine setzte ihn auf Platz 15 der 100 besten Gitarristen aller Zeiten. Und vor einem Jahr gab er seinen ersten Gitarrenlehrgang heraus – der bringt Nachwuchsmusikern die Kunst, das Herz und die Seele der Gitarre bei und will sie der Spiritualit\u00e4t und Tonalit\u00e4t des Instruments n\u00e4herbringen.\u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n
Dieses Jahr hat der Altstar sowohl eine EP (\u00abIn Search Of Mona Lisa\u00bb) wie auch ein ganzes Album mit dem Titel \u00abAfrica Speaks\u00bb herausgegeben. NPR bezeichnet es als bestes Album in Jahrzehnten und die New York Times findet es gar eines der besten seiner ganzen Karriere.

Derzeit spielt Santana im Rahmen einer mehrj\u00e4hrigen Residenz im House of Blues in Las Vegas regelm\u00e4ssig vor vollem Haus. F\u00fcr seine angek\u00fcndigte Welttournee \u00abMiraculous World Tour 2020\u00bb will er sich aber davon losreissen und seine Grooves und krachenden Soli einmal mehr in die ganze Welt tragen. <\/span><\/div>\n
