Mai 2020 die Leitung der Geneva International Motor Show (<\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/news.palexpo.ch\/HS?b=eHVrVuZFo6zByxF42REaLSTnvWaWEbhTGUksZJNnmhzLVGrw6eSkIq1neKotzG89&amp;c=wH3cyfEJ388PalEwqIYprw\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>GIMS<\/strong><\/a><strong>). <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Im November 2019 hat Olivier Rihs bekannt\ngegeben, dass er die GIMS per 31. M\u00e4rz 2020 verl\u00e4sst. Dies geschah unter\naussergew\u00f6hnlichen Umst\u00e4nden. Aufgrund einer Verf\u00fcgung des Bundesrates wegen\ndes Ausbruchs der Coronavirus-Pandemie musste die von ihm in die Wege geleitete\n90. Ausgabe kurz vor ihrer Er\u00f6ffnung am 28. Februar 2020 abgesagt werden.\nMaurice Turrettini, Pr\u00e4sident der Stiftung der GIMS, dankt Olivier Rihs f\u00fcr\nsein grosses Engagement in der Vorbereitung der GIMS und w\u00e4hrend der\nschwierigen Wochen im Fr\u00fchjahr 2020 rund um die Absage der GIMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Stiftungsrat hat Herrn Sandro\nMesquita einstimmig zum neuen Generaldirektor der GIMS ab dem 1. Mai 2020\nernannt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sandro Mesquita (1975) verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber\neinen grossen Erfahrungsschatz in den Bereichen Marketing und Kommunikation: er\nhat ein eidgen\u00f6ssisches Diplom in Marketing und einen Executive Master of\nSciences in Kommunikationsmanagement der Universit\u00e4t Lugano erworben. Diese\nakademische Ausbildung schloss er mit einem an der UCLA erworbenen\nManagement-Zertifikat ab. Sandro Mesquita war mehr als 15 Jahre in nationalen\nund internationalen Unternehmen der Telekommunikations- und Energiebranche im\nBereich Marketing- und Business Development t\u00e4tig. 2013 schloss er sich einem\nder gr\u00f6ssten internationalen Kommunikationskonzerne an, wo er zun\u00e4chst die\nGenfer Niederlassung einer Branding-Beratungsagentur leitete und dann\nGesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer der kreativen Kommunikationsabteilung des Konzerns in Lausanne\nwurde.\n\nSeine langj\u00e4hrige Erfahrung in der Entwicklung neuer Marketingstrategien\nf\u00fcr Sektoren, die sich in einem tiefgreifenden Wandel befinden, sowie sein\nUnternehmergeist und seine F\u00fchrungsqualit\u00e4ten machen ihn zum perfekten\nKandidaten f\u00fcr die anspruchsvolle Position des Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrers der GIMS.
