Es wird am 2. Mai 2025 bei Legacy Recordings, der Katalogabteilung von Sony Music, auf CD und in digitalen Formaten erscheinen. Der Film dokumentiert die Bandphase, bevor Pink Floyd auf beiden Seiten des Atlantiks, wo ihre Songs bis heute gefeiert werden, zu Giganten der Albumcharts avancierten. Vor der atemberaubenden Kulisse des Amphitheaters von Pompeji f\u00e4ngt der Konzertfilm einen intimen Auftritt der Band ein, bei dem kein Publikum anwesend war. Der Mitschnitt entstand im Oktober 1971 und war der erste, der je an dieser antiken St\u00e4tte durchgef\u00fchrt wurde. Pink Floyd performten dabei u.a. \u2018Echoes\u2019, \u2018A Saucerful of Secrets\u2019 und \u2018One of These Days\u2019. Die Magie des Auftritts wird dadurch verst\u00e4rkt, dass die Songs zu verschiedenen Tageszeiten aufgenommen wurden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinkfloyd.film\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"593\" src=\"https:\/\/tuttosprint.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/PINK-FLOYD-POMPEII_ONE-SHEET-ARTWORK-ENGLISH-2.jpg\" alt=\"PINK-FLOYD-POMPEII_ONE-SHEET-ARTWORK [ENGLISH]\" class=\"wp-image-42771\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tuttosprint.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/PINK-FLOYD-POMPEII_ONE-SHEET-ARTWORK-ENGLISH-2.jpg 400w, https:\/\/tuttosprint.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/PINK-FLOYD-POMPEII_ONE-SHEET-ARTWORK-ENGLISH-2-202x300.jpg 202w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Der Film bietet den Zuschauern auch seltene Einblicke hinter die Kulissen, wenn sie die Band in den Abbey Road Studios bei den ersten Sessions zu\u00a0<em>The Dark Side of the Moon<\/em>\u00a0erleben. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Nick Mason sagte \u00fcber\u00a0<em>Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii<\/em>: <em>\u201cDer Film ist ein seltenes und einmaliges Zeugnis unserer Live-Performances vor dem Erscheinen von\u00a0The Dark Side Of The Moon.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Pink Floyd At Pompeii\u00a0<\/em>wurde akribisch, Bild f\u00fcr Bild, von Hand restauriert.<\/strong> Als Vorlage diente das 35mm-Negativ des Originals, das in einer kryptisch beschrifteten Dose in den Archiven der Band entdeckt wurde. Der Film wurde einem 4K-Scan unterzogen, um jedes Detail bestm\u00f6glich hervorzuheben. Die Farben wurden verbessert, jeder einzelne Frame begutachtet und bei Bedarf repariert. So konnte ein nat\u00fcrliches und lebendiges Seherlebnis geschaffen werden, ohne gr\u00f6\u00dfere Ver\u00e4nderungen an der Filmk\u00f6rnung vornehmen zu m\u00fcssen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cOriginal-Filmmaterial zu\u00a0Pink Floyd At Pompeii\u00a0suche ich schon seit 1994\u201d, <\/em>sagt Lana Topham,<em> \u201cund deshalb war die Entdeckung des 1972er Original-Negativs ein wirklich besonderer Moment f\u00fcr mich. Die restaurierte Fassung pr\u00e4sentiert den Film erstmals als 90-Minuten-Cut. Sie kombiniert den 60-min\u00fctigen Mitschnitt mit Dokumentar-Szenen aus den Abbey Road Studios, die kurz danach entstanden waren.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Toningenieur Steven Wilson ist es zu verdanken, dass der Sound von\u00a0<em>Pink Floyd At Pompeii\u00a0<\/em>jetzt in 5.1 Surround und Dolby Atmos zu genie\u00dfen ist. Dies verleiht dem Film mehr Tiefe und Klarheit, bewahrt aber trotzdem die Authentizit\u00e4t und den Geist des Originals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Steven Wilson f\u00fcgt an: <em>\u201cSeit mich mein Vater als Kind einer Gehirnw\u00e4sche unterzogen hat, weil er\u00a0The Dark Side of the Moon\u00a0rauf- und runtergeh\u00f6rt hat, ist Pink Floyd meine Lieblingsband. F\u00fcr mich sind sie das, was f\u00fcr andere die Beatles sind und die Band wurde zu einem Teil meiner musikalischen DNA. Den Pompeji-Auftritt habe ich damals in schlechter Qualit\u00e4t in einem \u00f6rtlichen Kino gesehen und er hat einen unglaublichen Eindruck auf mich gemacht. Diese vier Musiker mit ihrer befreiten, experimentellen Rockmusik waren f\u00fcr mich der Inbegriff intellektueller Coolness.
