Die drei historischen Ausstellungsfahrzeuge geh\u00f6ren zur Umberto Panini Collection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maserati Tipo 420M-58 \u00abEldorado\u00bb (1958)<\/strong><br \/>\nIn den 1950er-Jahren hatten Langstreckenrennen eine grosse Anziehungskraft. Deshalb beschloss man bei Maserati mit Unterst\u00fctzung von Gino Zanetti, dem in Rom die Eisdiele \u00abEldorado\u00bb geh\u00f6rte, an einem ehrgeizigen Projekt teilzunehmen. Es sah zwei 500-Meilen-Rennen in Monza (Italien) und Indianapolis (USA) vor und sollte eine Art Vergleich zwischen Europa und den USA werden. Zu diesem Zweck wurde der Tipo 420M-58 entwickelt. Er nutzte Elemente der erfolgreichen Maserati Rennwagen 250F (seinerzeit amtierender Formel-1-Weltmeister-Wagen) und 450S (Langstreckenrennwagen). Sein V8-Motor hatte 4,2 Liter Hubraum und war aufgrund der Rennen im Gegenuhrzeigersinn asymmetrisch eingebaut. Zur Kraft\u00fcbertragung diente ein Zwei-Gang-Getriebe ohne Differenzial.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4314 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/tuttosprint.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Maserati_Padova_Salone-Auto-DEpoca-2018_Eldorado_012-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tuttosprint.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Maserati_Padova_Salone-Auto-DEpoca-2018_Eldorado_012-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/tuttosprint.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Maserati_Padova_Salone-Auto-DEpoca-2018_Eldorado_012-768x1152.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tuttosprint.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Maserati_Padova_Salone-Auto-DEpoca-2018_Eldorado_012-682x1024.jpg 682w, https:\/\/tuttosprint.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Maserati_Padova_Salone-Auto-DEpoca-2018_Eldorado_012.jpg 1305w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><br \/>\nBeim Deb\u00fct in Monza am 29. Juni 1958 kam Stirling Moss zum Einsatz. Er belegte in ersten beiden L\u00e4ufen die Pl\u00e4tze vier und f\u00fcnf, schied im dritten Lauf allerdings durch einen Unfall aus. In Summe wurde er als siebter gewertet. Mit den Erkenntnissen aus diesen Rennen wurde der weisse \u00abEldorado\u00bb (der Schriftzug auf der Motorhaube war weithin erkennbar) modifiziert und die markante Heckflosse entfernt. F\u00fcr den Lauf in Indianapolis 1959 erhielt er aufgrund internationaler Regularien eine rote Lackierung. Leider war der unerfahrene Gentleman-Driver Ralph Liguori nicht in der Lage, sich mit dem 420M-58 f\u00fcr das \u00abIndy 500\u00bb zu qualifizieren.\u00a0 So blieb es f\u00fcr Maserati bei den beiden Indianapolis-Siegen, die Wilbur Shaw auf einem Tipo 8CTF 1939 und 1940 errungen hatte. Bis heute ist Maserati der einzige italienische Automobilhersteller, der das \u00abIndy 500\u00bb gewann, und sogar die einzige europ\u00e4ische Marke, die zwei Mal hintereinander triumphieren konnte.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maserati Merak SS (1975)<\/strong><br \/>\nAngesichts des grossen Erfolges des Bora, dem ersten Maserati Sportwagen mit Mittelmotor, beschloss man 1972, ihm mit dem Merak einen \u00abkleinen Bruder\u00bb zur Seite zu stellen. Das Design stammte von Giorgetto Giugiaros Italdesign, welche bereits den Bora entworfen hatten. Als Antrieb wurde ein V6-Motor mit drei Liter Hubraum gew\u00e4hlt, der bereits beim Citro\u00ebn SM im Einsatz war. Auch wenn Bora und Merak stilistische \u00c4hnlichkeiten besassen, unterschieden sie sich in einem wichtigen Punkt: Der kompaktere Motor des Merak erlaubte es, zwei R\u00fccksitze zu platzieren. Sein Deb\u00fct gab, das nach einem Stern im Sternbild des Grossen B\u00e4ren benannte Fahrzeug 1972 auf dem Pariser Automobilsalon. 1975 folgten in Genf der \u00fcberarbeitete Merak SS mit mehr Leistung und Designretuschen, 1977 eine spezielle Italienversion mit 2,0 Liter Hubraum \u2013 von Fans als \u00abMerak Duemila\u00bb bezeichnet. Das auf dem Messestand gezeigte Fahrzeug ist der einzige mit einem Turbomotor ausgestattete Merak \u2013 ein Prototyp, der Vorbote f\u00fcr den Maserati Biturbo war, der 1981 vorgestellt wurde.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maserati Khamsin (1973)<\/strong><br \/>\nDie Bertone-Studios erhielten Anfang der 1970er-Jahre den Auftrag, ein neues, betont elegantes 2+2-Coup\u00e9 zu entwerfen, das den Ghibli ersetzen sollte. Dessen 4,9-Liter-V8-Motor sollte dabei beibehalten werden. Der nach einem \u00e4gyptischen W\u00fcstenwind benannte Khamsin wurde 1973 auf dem Pariser Autosalon vorgestellt. Mit seiner Monocoque-Struktur war er der erste Maserati mit Frontmotor, der \u00fcber Einzelradaufh\u00e4ngungen rundum verf\u00fcgte. Stilistisch herausragend beim Design von Marcello Gandini war die transparente Heckpartie, die dem Fahrzeug eine ungew\u00f6hnlich helle Erscheinung gab. Die \u00d6lkrise jener Jahre verhinderte allerdings den ganz grossen Erfolg, so dass vom Khamsin letztlich nur 430 Einheiten gebaut wurden. Seine Rolle als Meilenstein beruht vor allem darauf, dass er die Designphilosophie \u00abGT\u00bb einf\u00fchrte, welche Leistung priorisiert, ohne die gestiegenen Erwartungen der Kunden hinsichtlich Komforts und Platzangebot zu vernachl\u00e4ssigen.
