Am Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville (Indiana, USA) ging’s am ersten Renntag \u2013 Samstag, 4. Oktober \u2013 mit den Qualifikationen zur 78. Ausgabe des Motocross der Nationen los. Die 37 Teams lieferten sich spannende Duelle unter schwierigen Bedingungen und boten dem Publikum ein Motorsport-Spektakel auf h\u00f6chstem Niveau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifikationsrennen \u2013 Ergebnisse des Schweizer Teams:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u00a0MXGP \u2013 Jeremy Seewer begeisterte das Publikum mit einem hervorragenden Start und lag eine Zeit lang auf dem zweiten Platz, direkt vor den besten Fahrern der Welt. Am Ende belegte er den 10. Platz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 MX2 \u2013 Nico Greutmann \u2013 Ein Fahrer st\u00fcrzte direkt vor ihm beim Start, Nico konnte ihm nicht ausweichen und st\u00fcrzte ebenfalls. Danach wurde er durch einen zweiten Sturz erneut gebremst. Trotz dieser R\u00fcckschl\u00e4ge zeigte er enormen Kampfgeist und k\u00e4mpfte sich vom 33. Platz bis auf den 15. Platz vor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Open \u2013 Valentin Guillod \u2013 Der Freiburger Valentin hatte einen super Start und lag schon auf Platz 3. In der zweiten Kurve schaffte er es sogar auf Platz 2 und best\u00e4tigte damit seinen tollen Start ins Rennen. Am Ende landete er auf Platz 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dank dieser Leistungen qualifizierte sich das Schweizer Team direkt f\u00fcr das A-Finale und belegte gemeinsam mit Lettland den 12. Platz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mat Rebaud, Teammanager \u2013 \u00abIch bin echt stolz auf unsere drei Fahrer, die bis zur letzten Runde gek\u00e4mpft haben. Es tut mir leid f\u00fcr Nico, der das Potenzial hatte, unter die Top 10 zu kommen, aber durch einen Sturz beim Start benachteiligt wurde, ein unvermeidbarer Rennunfall. Die Stimmung im Team ist super und ich bin echt zuversichtlich f\u00fcr Sonntag: Unsere Fahrer sind stark und ziehen alle an einem Strang. Es ist toll zu sehen, dass ein Land von der Gr\u00f6\u00dfe der Schweiz mit den gro\u00dfen Nationen an der Spitze mithalten kann. Wir freuen uns schon auf das Finale am Sonntag.\u00bb<\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
